Cleaning up people data in PI2

Once you’ve reviewed user permissions in PI2, we recommend taking time to look over your existing people data.

How long this process may take depends heavily on the size of your organization, how long you’ve been using PI, and how much cleanup you did ahead of your upgrade date.

The following steps assume there’s a fair amount of data to sort through. If you find a step doesn’t apply to you or your organization, feel free to skip ahead.

1. Visit your Transferred People page.

If you can’t find a particular employee or candidate, chances are they’re in your “Transferred People” page. This page contains any records that weren’t given a specific tag in the Legacy PI platform.

Any records currently in Transferred People cannot be searched or accessed elsewhere in the PI2 platform. (While we know this may create friction, we erred on the side of caution to ensure your old data doesn’t show up in the wrong places.)

2. Upload an organization file with updated employee information.

Once you’ve categorized (or archived) the records on the Transferred People page, all the Legacy PI records you once had access to should appear in the proper places in PI2.

Any records you tagged as “employee” should show up in your Employee Directory. That said, you may find that certain employees in this directory either have outdated information or are no longer with your organization.

3. Ensure each employee has an active Behavioral Assessment.

When employee data is moved from Legacy PI to PI2, we automatically default to an employee’s oldest Behavioral Assessment. While this is based on careful research from our science team, we recognize that sometimes a more recent assessment may resonate more with a given employee.

4. Note any duplicate, missing, or inaccurate records.

By completing the above three steps, most of your employee/candidate records should be up-to-date in the PI2 software.

That said, there may still be cases in which your data doesn’t look 100% right. In some instances, PI clients have reported duplicate records (which only our support team can merge). In other cases, you may have trouble updating data or accessing the right assessment data.
