Audience: This guide is designed to help anyone in your organization who is responsible for your onboarding and implementation strategy as you introduce and roll out PI. This includes how to set up each product, creating a strategy for how and when each product or feature will be used and by whom, and determining which workshops you should register different members of your organization for to ensure success.

Goal: To guide you through the steps you’ll need and point you to the resources that will help you create a roll-out strategy before PI is communicated to your organization.

This guide is designed to walk you through the strategic and technical components of your implementation. It may seem that there is a lot to learn and do, but we’ll support you all along the way. Together, we are working towards providing a dynamic work environment where everyone can be their best.

Rolling out new software and processes effectively and efficiently is like cooking. You need to create a plan and a grocery list and you need to make sure you have all of the right tools or ingredients before you start. This guide is intended to point you in the right direction to those those tools and ingredients.

But you don’t have to do this alone. Your PI Partner will be with you every step of the way.

Working with your PI Partner

Your PI Partner is a strategic ally in building a stronger, more aligned organization. Whether you’re focused on improving retention, strengthening leadership, or building high-performing teams, your PI Partner brings expertise, business experience, and practical applications to support your goals. They bridge the needs of HR and the priorities of the executive team, translating talent data into actionable insights that directly support business goals.

3 steps to implementation success

There’s not a one-size-fits-all approach to your implementation. Consider how to structure the rollout in a way that best suits your current and future employees. As you create a plan that includes a timeline, stakeholders, and milestones, consider the following

  • Set the vision, communicate the goals

PI Champions (HR)

  • Integrate PI into the org
  • Keepers & administrators of the data
  • Certified in PI to develop internal knowledge
  • Attend workshops & certified in talent optimization

Managers

  • Learn & apply basic PI insights to drive retention and productivity
  • Incorporate PI in their day-to-day via Perform to improve their effectiveness
  • Attend PI’s manager development workshop: Manage with Impact

All employees

  • Boost self-awareness via PI insights in Perform
  • Attend relevant PI onboarding sessions
  • Leverage PI insights with peers to improve working environment, culture, and productivity
  • What is your overall strategy?
  • What results do you expect to see once you’ve incorporated PI?
  • How will you define success?
  • Align on business priorities. Where do you want to start?
  • From your onboarding and implementation team members, who should be included in the strategic conversations?
  • Which tools, features, and guides will you utilize in each product?
  • What implementation steps need to be considered for each product?
  • Identify any potential blockers. Are there any other initiatives happening that might impact your timeline?
  • What has/hasn’t worked with other implementations at your organization?
  • What are your communication plans to candidates?
  • What are your communication plans to current employees?
  • How will you incorporate PI when you onboard new employees after your initial rollout?
  • What are your coaching and training needs? Discuss who in your organization should attend which workshops.
  • How will you celebrate successes?
  • How will you create PI Champions across your organization who can help answer questions, advocate for change, and apply PI with their departments and teams? The key to long-term success is making your commitment to ensure employees are operating from the same foundational understanding & goals.
