Pricing & Packaging
Before we jump into how invoices are paid and when they are paid, lets review pricing and packaging.
Pricing for the software change on a semi-annual basis, and within a given year discounts and sales may be offered to new and renewing clients. These documents can always be found in Seismic.
In 2020, clients selected a software bundle that was appropriate for their needs and pricing was based on the total headcount — The more headcount needed, the higher the price of their subscription.
In 2021, the business pivoted and moved to modular pricing. This means that clients can purchase different instances of the software and different headcounts. For example, a client might purchase Hire for a headcount of 500, Inspire at 250, Diagnose at 250 and Design at 3. This approach allows clients to align the price they are paying with the value they are receiving. Pricing Calculator Activity – New Client
Utilizing the New Client Pricing Calculator determine the cost of the following subscription cost.
- Choose the following Modules and quantity:
- Hire – 450 employees
- Inspire – 200 employees
- Design – 10 Teams
- Apply a 10% partner discount
- Since there are 3 modules being purchased select ‘Bundle Discount’
- This is a 12 month contract
Your calculator should produce the following numbers:
- List Price should equal $34,416
- Total Discounts apply equal $10,325
- Annual Subscription Fee with Discount = $24,091 — This is the price that will be quoted in the opportunity
Pricing Calculator Activity – Renewal
Utilizing the Client Renewal Pricing Calculator determine the cost of the following subscription cost.
- Current Product: Basic Edition
- With a real client you would look at their previous (i.e. last year) opportunity/quote for this information
- Current Annual Subscription Fee: $13,900
- Will the client renewal at current headcount? No
- When is the subscription renewal date? After 11 Jan 2021
- Keep: Hire & Inspire
- Add: None
- Hire: 250 employees
- Inspire: 150 employees
Your calculator should produce the following range:
$11,663 – $19,439
