What is an integration? Integration is the process of connecting two software applications to unify their data. Many companies struggle with disconnected applications, leading to isolated data, missed insights, and slower workflows. Integrating these applications breaks down silos between them, improving efficiency and collaboration.
What is an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)?
- An ATS is a software application that helps organizations manage the hiring and recruitment process. As such, it is a pre-hire tool.
- Examples of ATS include Greenhouse, Jobvite, Workable, and iCIMS.

What is a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)?
- An HRIS is a software application that helps companies manage employee data and HR processes. As such, it is a post-hire tool.
- Examples of HRIS include Workday, Paycor, ADP Workforce Now, and UKG.

Overview
PI maintains integrations in the pre-hire space with various ATS integrations, as well as in the post-hire space with various HRIS integrations.
PI’s HRIS integration simplifies management by automatically syncing employee data, ensuring your clients always have up-to-date information in PI. This reduces administrative work, saves time, and allows them to focus more on using PI insights to drive business results, rather than manually updating employee records.
PI clients who have integrations tend to be our healthiest clients and have a higher likelihood of renewal than those that do not.
What’s staying the same
- Integrations are available through our third-party providers (Joynd and Flexspring).
- Clients are able to build integrations using our open APIs.
What’s changing
PI will also develop its own integrations (“Native integrations”) with leading ATS providers. This is a major investment for PI that will achieve various strategic objectives:
- Broader adoption of integrations into our client base: We will offer a better user experience that will help clients get started with integrations quickly and easily. We will have greater control over costs and timelines.
- Improved client engagement and outcomes: Meeting Talent Acquisition teams where they work drives continued engagement with our products. We will design and build integration experiences that allow clients to follow our recommended best practice workflows in their ATS, which leads to better hiring results and greater client retention.
We successfully launched our Greenhouse ATS integration in 2024 and released a Paylocity ATS integration in April 2025. We will continue to add support for additional ATS integrations based on their penetration into our client base.
ATS integrations will be offered at a $1,500 annual fee with no upfront implementation cost. This fee will not be eligible for commissions.

Given our investment in native integrations, clients choosing to build their own integration will no longer receive support from the Predictive Index support team. They will receive the API documentation available to our third-party providers.
