Know Your Inspire Toolbox

Some Inspire tools are most useful when a team leader is managing an individual but they can also be beneficial when trying to understand others on your team. These include the Management Strategy Guide and the Relationship Guide.

Relationship Guide

You can access the Relationship Guide through the Inspire section of the PI software.

The Relationship Guide is used to compare two people to discover how they work together. It plots two people’s behavior preferences side by side and provides both strengths and areas of caution. It synthesizes tips managers can use when working with a specific employee.

The Relationship Guide can be useful for better knowing new and existing team members, especially when:

1. Assessing the best way to interact with an employee, or strengthen the relationship 
2. Developing common ways to initiate conversations, have better interactions and assign items for follow-up
3. Creating necessary interventions for a relationship, to improve interactions or make corrections

Management Strategy Guide

You can access the Management Strategy Guide through the Inspire section of the PI software.

The Management Strategy Guide helps managers motivate and coach employees based on their behavioral needs. It provides insight into how a team member interacts, takes action, or handles risks. It offers the opportunity to create action plans or identify blockers for an employee-manager relationship.
